Writing Prompts Are Every Where

Writing Prompts Are Every Where

Here’s a household item that inspired this poem during breakfast. Try your own poem by picking a household item (shampoo, medicine bottle, cleaners, baking items, etc) as a prompt. Then post your writing below or link to it or tweet me @21CGRUBY.

With a strong arm
Grab hammer
Open box
Empty contents
Pulverize & pound fear
Gradually sift
Until all that’s left is faith
Mold a new standard
Of absorbing
Of living
Repeat exercise
at least every 30 days
Because the mind
naturally absorbs
Unwanted smells & odors
